JPL Authors Database: Overview

Overview

What is JPL Authors Database?

The JPL Authors Database (JAD) contains records of the Lab’s scholarly publishing activities.  It contains records of journal articles and meeting papers with at least one author from JPL. The authors' names are matched with JPL Directory, so that it can create bibliographies by Directorate, Division, Section, or Group. The current database covers the years 1990 to present, with monthly updates. The DOIs are included in the record, so access to full text is one click away.

The majority of the records are from Web of Science, and Compendex. Additional records have been added from the following databases during previous years: INSPEC, Aerospace & High Technology, GeoRef, PASCAL, SPIN (Searchable Physics Information Notices), EST (Energy Science and Technology), and Chemical Abstracts.

Who can use JPL Authors Database?

This database is for JPL internal use only; JPL employees, interns, on-site contractors, and affiliates can access it within the JPL Network.
