Before users check out the HoloLens from the JPL Library, we'll ask them to agree to the following checkout terms:
1. I am currently an active employee of The Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I understand that the HoloLenses are for use ONLY within the JPL library.
2. I will not leave the HoloLens or its accessories unattended.
3. I understand that the HoloLens checkout period is for four hours. I will be able to renew the HoloLens along with accessories after my checkout period has expired only if another eligible patron is not waiting to check out the HoloLens or if the JPL library is not scheduled to close within four hours or less. I will return the HoloLens along with all accessories when due. The JPL Library closes at 4:30 PM and the HoloLens must be returned before this time.
4. I understand that if I lose or damage the HoloLens or its accessory items, my section will be charged a replacement fee for the HoloLens not to exceed $3,000.00 or the replacement fee for each accessory not to exceed $50.00.
5. I will review and abide by Caltech’s Acceptable Use of Electronic Information Resources
6. The JPL Library is not responsible for personal injury while using the HoloLenses.
