Purchasing Library Resources: Buying Books

The Library is the "control point" for JPLers and JPL organizations wanted to make book purchases, including eBooks, audio books, conference proceedings, CD-ROMs, digital media, etc.

These are typically called “desk copies” and will be labeled as government property.

HOW TO SUBMIT A PURCHASE REQUEST (Desk Copy)

1. Log into Beacon Express
2. Click Create Request
3. Switch Request Type to Purchase

   

4. Enter as much information about the item as possible. Required fields are marked with asterisks. Use the "Where did you learn about this item?" to provide additional information if needed.
5. Click on Submit Request
